Our story
Estonians are used to thinking several steps in advance. Thus, in the spring of 2004, when Rasmus and Kadri were waiting for the birth of their daughter, they decided to create a great playground in their home garden for the little one. However, it turned out that the choice of domestic attractions was almost non-existent and that the expensive imported goods did not justify their price by appearance or functionality. The initial frustration quickly turned into a flying idea.
“You don’t hesitate for a moment when you want to do something for your own child,” Rasmus recalls the creation story of their first home-made playground. “I consulted Kadri about the future look of our home garden playground, got the necessary tools and materials, called a friend to help, and went for it! We got so into it that instead of the planned single attraction, we ended up making two,” laughs Rasmus.
In order to get a stranger’s opinion for his handiwork, Rasmus took his friend with him and visited a fair, taking their extra attraction with them. The home-made playground immediately found a new owner. In addition, the playground received a lot of high praise and greeted with active interest in where to buy such products. By the end of the day, the decision had been made – let’s start producing ourselves!
Little Marii was born on the third day of June. By the time the girl got onto her feet, the company Tiptiptap, created by her parents, was already taking its first steps. In parallel with the growing daughter, the company has also been growing. Marii and her younger brother Rasmus Jr are both the inspiration and the testers of Tiptiptap’s production lines. “Safety is our priority,” emphasizes Rasmus, who knows the minutest details of playground safety standards and is personally committed to making Tiptiptap’s products safe for children.
Today, Tiptiptap exports its products mainly to Europe but also to Asia, the Arabian peninsula and to Australia. The constantly expanding product range provides an opportunity to offer suitable attractions to countries with different climates and cultures. Estonian children are also familiar with Tiptiptap’s playgrounds because Tiptiptap is a leader and a trendsetter on the local market
